Jillian Freese, Ph.D.
About Me
I am a postdoctoral fellow at the J. Craig Venter Institute working with Dr. Sinem Beyhan to understand the linkages between temperature, morphology, and virulence in the development of pathogenic dimorphic fungi.

I earned my Ph.D. at the University of Rhode Island working with Dr. Christopher Lane. I studied the evolution and development of parasitic red algae (species of red seaweed that parasitize other red seaweeds) using morphological and transcriptional approaches.
